We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Grant Writer to assist with securing funding for our programs and initiatives. You will work on a PRN (as needed) basis, researching, drafting, and submitting grant proposals to foundations, government agencies, and other funding sources. Your efforts will directly support our mission and help us continue to provide valuable services to our community.

As a Grant Writer with Manifest Academy LLC, you will have the flexibility to work on a schedule that fits your availability. This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in nonprofit fundraising and grant writing, and you will have a supportive manager who can provide mentorship and a letter of recommendation for your future career endeavors. You will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, crafting compelling proposals, and managing the submission process. We are looking to hire grant writers in San Antonio, TX, and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent part-time opportunity for experienced grant writers or those looking to develop their skills in a flexible work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential funding sources, including foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors.
  • Write and submit compelling grant proposals that align with our organization’s mission and goals.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and develop project budgets.
  • Track and manage deadlines for grant submissions and ensure all required documentation is included.
  • Maintain an updated calendar and communicate availability for PRN assignments.
  • Assist with reporting and compliance for awarded grants, ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Provide ongoing support to the team by identifying new opportunities and suggesting improvements to grant strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in grant writing or nonprofit fundraising.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive proposals.
  • Ability to research and identify relevant funding opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and comfortable with online submission platforms.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable transportation for attending meetings, if necessary.
  • Flexibility to work on a PRN basis, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15 miles for meetings or events. Travel reimbursement may be offered for extended travel.
  • Must have access to a computer for writing and submitting proposals.
